There's been a lot of talk and a lot of different predictions over the past week about the Tuesday/Wednesdays storm that will impact Maine. Last week, it looked like a potential Nor'Easter. Over the weekend, it transformed into two smaller storms that will still have a punch to them. But with all the snowfall total maps floating around the state, the Portland Police Department decided to try their hand at weather forecasting and ummm...

As they state in their Twitter blurb, this was all in good fun and a little way to poke the local media outlets (definitely us) about the hype when it comes to storms. Although one local weather expert did chime in...

The latest forecast calls for Portland and the surrounding areas to get about 2-4 inches total from Tuesday through Wednesday. Pretty close to the 5 feet predicted by the Portland PD.
