Well, winter is finally here, whether we like it or not. Yes, I know the solstice isn't until December 21st, but winter in Maine always comes early.

In thinking of the changing of the seasons, redditor woodenflag posted this helpful chart of the seasons in Maine to the Maine reddit page over the weekend. You have to read it counter-clockwise, but I think it's pretty friggin' accurate.

It's long been a Maine reality that Spring is virtually non-existant - it's just nice to see that someone's accurately charted it out. It does look like this winter will be mild, so maybe things will ease up a bit this year when the snow finally starts to melt. Unfortunately, that day can't come soon enough. Anyone making hot cocoa that could share some? I'm cold just talking about this.
