Throwback Thursday — CYY Top 5 at 5 From 10/30/98

Sixteen Years ago today, we were playing some brand new songs that would end up standing the test of time. You can still hear all of these songs fairly regularly on CYY.

Let's start off with Dexter Holland and The Offspring's homage to "wankstas". It was great to see this video again.

"Never There" was Cake's first single from their third "Prolonging The Magic". This song would end up spending three weeks at #1 on the modern rock charts.

Frontman of House Of Pain went solo and had a huge hit in '98. Erik "Everlast" Shrody's first single was at #3 this day in '98 on the CYY Top 5 at 5.

Safe to say KoRn was at the peak of their career in '98/'99 with the release of "Follow The Leader", which included "Freak On A Leash". Got The Life, the album's first single was at #2.

It only makes sense that Rob Zombie was at #1 the day before Halloween in '98. This was the first single for Rob after leaving White Zombie to go solo. We still love rockin' Dragula on CYY!
