Trip to Mohegan Sun

I made the best of the long weekend. I headed down to Mohegan Sun in Norwich, CT with two good friends. This place was like an indoor city. Slots, tables, food, drinks, live music and apparently a mall? I didn't make it to that part.

Having Eddie Money as the entertainment for the evening was....entertaining. I love Eddie, great tunes and he's been doing it for nearly 40 years now, but he's looking and sounding tired these days. People ask if the Geico commercial is a fabrication? Unfortunately, not really. He played in the Wolf's Den, which is a first come first serve deal. We decided against waiting in line and just watched him off and on from the slots...

I wish I could remember where we had dinner inside the casino because I would give them a five star review. The food and service was amazing. It was an Italian Restaurant, set aside from all the action. Highly recommended.

I definitely enjoyed the complimentary drinks. As long as you're playing, they're serving. You want a whiskey on the rocks? Johnny Walker Black on the rocks to be specific? Yup, you just keep playing and drinks are on the house. If you're at a slot machine or a table, it may take a little longer to get a drink but if you make yourself comfortable at one of their bars with built in machines, you're taken care of!

When we had left around 1am, we looked at the billboard that shows the payout for the day. Even though myself and my two buddy's didn't take home any of the 22 million dollars they paid out on Saturday, we still had a blast.
