Veranda Thai Opening New Restaurant In The Old Port

Owners of the popular restaurant on Veranda St. in Portland have leased space formerly occupied by The Salt Exchange in the Old Port.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the Old Port will once again be getting a new restaurant to choose from when the owners of Veranda Thai open their new place at 245 Commercial St. What is unclear is if this will be an all new restaurant or whether the owners plan on swapping their current location for this new one in the Old Port. The new restaurant is expected to open this fall.

Currently, Veranda Thai operates two popular restaurants on Veranda St. in Portland. Veranda Thai is opposite the Veranda Noodle Bar on that street. Both restaurants serve traditional Thai cuisine but are limited by space.
