Maine native Steve Clifford and his Charlotte Hornets wasted little time jumping on the Boston Celtics before holding on to get a 104-95 win at the Boston Garden. The Hornets built a 22 point first half lead as the Celtics continue to give up big leads early in games. Kemba Walker had his way on the floor scoring 33 points while grabbing 5 rebounds and handing out 5 assists. Cody Zeller added 20 points and 7 boards.

Boston made a comeback in the second half and got as close as two points before running out of gas. Jared Sullinger led the Celtics with 22 points while James Young gave a lift off the bench by hitting 3 3-pointers and finishing with 13 points.

The Celtics have lost both meetings with the Hornets this season and will take to the road for a game against the Nets on Wednesday.
