Watch Weezer Perform Their New Song on ‘The Tonight Show’
For the first of what's sure to be a seemingly endless string of late-night performances in support of their upcoming album, 'Everything Will Be Alright in the End,' Weezer played their new single, 'Back to the Shack,' last night on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
In a recent interview with KROQ, frontman Rivers Cuomo said the feel-good, self-referential track can be interpreted both literally and metaphorically.
“There’s different levels of meaning," he said. "It’s true that there’s always been a little place where we make a lot of our creative work. The original garage that we sang about on our first album. I still have a place like that where I wrote most of the record. At the same time metaphorically it could stand for Weezer coming back, being closer to our fans, and closer to the larger Weezer community."
Either way, Fallon was impressed. 'Everything Will Be Alright in the End' is set to drop Sept. 30.
