Will We Be Able To See The Eclipse Of The Sun In Maine?
Follow along the path of the eclipse to see where it will be viewed the best.
This eclipse is going to be both an amazing sight to see and a nuisance. In some of the smaller communities in the path of the eclipse they are already declaring a state of emergency because of the influx of visitors to witness history.
If we could get a view like this, it would be spectacular.
Unfortunately, the USM Planetarium states that Maine will not see a total eclipse but rather a partial solar eclipse, “meaning that the moon will only partially cover the sun from our perspective.” Their website has a bunch more info on the eclipse and what Maine will see on Aug. 21.
And apparently, there will also be ANOTHER eclipse in 2024, and Maine will be able to see that total eclipse then. That will really be something to see.
