A New “Old-Fashioned” Cocktail Bar Is Coming To Portland’s Old Port
Portland has quickly made a name itself amongst the foodies across the United States for it's high-end culinary options, and now Portland will continue it's march towards becoming a well-known cocktail town as well with the opening of Proper Charlie's in the Old Port.
According to Portland Food Map, Proper Charlie's is the brainchild of Maine native Joshua Miranda and is planning on serving high-end, old-fashioned cocktails that "Portland's more refined cocktail consumer".
The project is currently under development at 26 Exchange Street near The Holy Donut, b.Good and Fuji. At present time, there's no firm opening date for Proper Charlie's. However, there is a sample menu of the food and cocktails expected to be served when they do open. Some of those options include smoked cod scotch eggs and south Indian spiced beef.

Proper Charlie's will join some of Portland's other high-end cocktail destinations including the Hunt and Alpine Club and Rhum. So now here's the question, what does Portland's Old Port need next?
