Albino Lobster Caught Off Nova Scotia Defies the Odds
A super rare albino lobster was caught off the shores of Nova Scotia Monday. According to Global News, lobster-man John Baird caught the one pound albino lobster and brought him to the local Sobey's, a supermarket chain in Canada.
He has been named Casper and lives in the seafood department where he's living a happy life with crowds of people coming into the store to get a look at him. No, he is not for sale.
You may remember a white lobster caught in Maine in August of 2017. This one however was not a true albino like Casper who has a friend now in "Little Blue" a blue lobster who isn't quite as rare as Casper.
It's interesting to note that the odds of winning the Tri-State Megabucks jackpot is 1 in 4,496,388 which seems pretty good when you compare it to the 1 in 100 million odds that you'll catch an albino lobster. Your odds of catching "Little Blue" are a lot better at 1 in 2 million.
