All-Girls Maine Flag Football Team Heads to the Nationals for First Time
Maine's oldest and largest all-girls flag football league is heading to the Nationals in Orlando!
Having formed in 2020, the league is fairly new, but has grown to more than 120 players across three divisions: High School, Middle School, and Elementary School. They are affiliated with NFL FLAG because they are dedicated to creating more opportunities for female athletes to participate in flag football.
They know that it's more than just learning about football and having fun. It's also about giving back. They raised money for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. It's about empowering girls to grow both as a player and a person.
Maine Girls Flag Football is committed to providing a safe, positive, and nourishing environment where they build more than muscles. They build character, self-esteem, and personal development. It's worked so well that the girls have made it to the national tournament in Orlando. The U12, U14, and U17 became the first all-girls flag football league from Maine to make it to nationals. The tournament is in January, and they are raising money!
They need a little help to realize their dream!
How can I help these girls get to Orlando, Florida?
It's just a matter of being able to donate to the cause, or send this to someone who might be able to help.
Donate to help get these girls to their first-ever tournament in Orlando in January!
Thanks for helping these girls participate in the highest achievement a Maine all-girls flag football league has ever had!
