The Alternative Alphabet is Coming to WCYY

Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks?

WCYY is set to celebrate it's 30th birthday in 2025. Over the course of nearly three decades, WCYY has played a lot of different songs from a lot of different artists. Starting Monday, February 10, we're going to attempt to play them all in alphabetical order.

To be fair, WCYY has moved studios along our 30 year journey (we're building out a brand new studio currently) and some records have been lost along the way. We know we're going to miss some songs that may have stood out to listeners and we hope you'll let us know when we do so we can add it to the list for the next go round.

For however long it takes, we're going to play the entire WCYY library in alphabetical order from 7am until 7pm Monday through Friday. That's 12 straight hours each weekday of the biggest hits, the one hit wonders and a whole lot of songs you've forgotten about or songs you didn't realize WCYY even played.

This will be the first of a handful of celebrations involving WCYY's 30 years on the airwaves.
