An Interesting ‘Art’ Piece At Back Cove In Portland Points Towards The Ocean
There has been no shortage of great beach are that's been showing up in Maine recently. Incredible and detailed designs that challenge the idea of what can be created near the ocean. What was spotted at Back Cove in Portland over the weekend is not one of those pieces. It's not stunning, it's not amazing. But it is something.
Shared on Reddit by Coffeecreamandsugar, an underwater art installation appears to be pointing towards the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. In fact, people had a lot to say about the new discovery. Card
Card There's been a ton of construction going on around Back Cove over the past few months, so perhaps whomever spent the time erecting this wanted to alert people traveling by air as to the direction of the ocean. Typically, art installations of this sort don't last long and are often swallowed up by the ocean quickly. While many commenters were impressed, not everyone shared that opinion.
No word on whether or not the piece is still standing upright. Even if it isn't, with a little time and care, someone else could likely make it look like it did in the picture above. It's all about determination.
