Nearly a decade ago, an ambitious entrepreneur took a spot along the busy Broadway stretch of South Portland and turned it into a bustling bowling alley, restaurant, and bar. Opening in 2014, it was initially called Easy Day, and curious patrons flocked to check out a new place to visit.

Five years later, it was sold and transformed into the most unique location of the popular Sea Dog Brewing Company family. Unfortunately, like Easy Day, things just didn't seem to work out.

According to Portland Food Map, third time could be a charm for the property as Bayside Bowl plans to take over the vacant space at 725 Broadway in South Portland. Since opening their Portland location back in 2010, Bayside Bowl has seen incredible success with their food and drink program, live music, as well as bowling tournaments and league play. They plan to bring the much of the same concepts to their new South Portland location.

Bayside Bowl has grown since its inception, adding a rooftop deck that features both public and private events as well as hosting national-televised PBA events indoors to raucous crowds.

Some minor changes will be made, with Bayside Bowl expecting to open sometime in the fall. They plan to call their new location Broadway Bowl.
