This 23rd annual running of the TD Beach to Beacon 10K from Crescent Beach to Portland headlight will once again be virtual as it was in 2020. Even though the threat of COVID has decreased significantly as more and more people get vaccinated, the planning involved required a decision to go virtual back when the threat was greater.

Over 1000 runners have already registered for this year's virtual Beach to Beacon 10K and an announcement on made on Monday is bound to boost those numbers even higher.

The TD Beach to Beacon Green Ticket Sweepstakes is giving those who register for the virtual 10K a chance to win a Green Ticket that gives that runner a lifetime entry to the road race. A Green Ticket will be awarded to two people who have signed up for the virtual event, including all those who signed up precious to the sweepstakes announcement.

The prize will include that lifetime pass, Beach to Beach merch and a $100 TD Bank gift card. That's a pretty sweet deal and guarantees your entry to every race for the rest of your life. The last race sold out in 1 minute and 19 seconds after registration opened, so having a guaranteed ticket is just about as good as a Golden Ticket to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The Gene Wilder Wonka, not Johnny Depp. Yuck.

So if you've been putting off registering for the Beach to Beacon, now's a good time to do it you want a chance to win your Green Ticket good for entry for life. Registration is open at the link below, but you need to register by July 9 to be eligible. Good luck!
