The Boston Bruins got a Patrice Bergeron powerplay goal late in the third period and beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 at Boston Garden last night.

With the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals next on the schedule this was an important two points to get for the B's.

Landon Ferraro scored Boston first goal early in the game. It stayed 1-0 until early in the third period when the Flames tied the game.

Tuukka Rask made 24 saves to get the win in goal.

The Bruins new players, Lee Stempniak and John Michael-Liles both played - Stempniak was on the ice for just over 16 minutes while Liles played almost 17 minutes.
