Mookie Betts becomes the youngest Red Sox player to win a Gold Glove Award since Fred Lynn back in 1975. Betts is 24 while Lynn won the award as a 23-year-old.

Betts is also the only Sox player to win a Gold Glove this year. CF Jackie Bradley Jr lost out to Tampa Bay's Kevin Keirmier and 2B Dustin Pedroia was beaten out by Detroit's Ian Kinsler.

Betts scored his first Gold Glove with 14 outfield assists. Adam Eaton from the White Sox and George Springer from the Astros were also up for the award.

Now Betts awaits the big award...the MVP. That will be announced next Thursday.
