For the last couple of years, several new locations of Brickyard Hollow have opened to rave reviews. The original Brickyard Hollow location opened in Yarmouth back in 2017. Fast forward just six years later and the brewery/pizza purveyor is operating six locations all across the state of Maine. That aggressive expansion is set to continue, because Brickyard Hollow has purchased NU Brewing in New Gloucester.

According to the MaineBiz insider, Brickyard Hollow has purchased the entire property as well as all features and fixtures involved with NU Brewing. The timing of the deal seems to be perfect, as NU Brewing had taken to social media weeks ago to announce a temporary closure to install a kitchen on the premises. That kitchen is almost assuredly going to include a pizza oven.

Brickyard Hollow's notoriety has quickly grown in Maine. Their concept of operating as a craft brewery as well as a craft pizza restaurant has made them popular in all corners of the state. They currently operate in Portland, Freeport, Ogunquit, Skowhegan, Eustis, and their home location of Yarmouth. Their eventual New Gloucester location will be lucky number seven.

Both Brickyard Hollow and NU Brewing have yet to confirm or announce the acquisition via social media. However, Brickyard Hollow's addition to the New Gloucester food scene will likely be welcomed with open arms. The temporary closure of NU Brewing may extend a little longer, as the kitchen is installed in the property at 437 Lewiston Road with the potential for some rebranding as well.
