Tavern at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine, to Reopen

There are restaurants that absolutely belong in a hotel and there are ones that seem to just be part of a hotel. There's a thin line that makes a big difference.

For many years, the Broad Arrow Tavern was a restaurant that just seemed to be part of the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine.

Sure, guests of the hotel ate and drank at the Broad Arrow. But the tavern was always incredible welcoming and comfortable to the everyday residents of the town.

In 2024, both guests of the Harraseeket Inn and locals were sad to see that the Broad Arrow Tavern had closed, seemingly permanently.

The Broad Arrow Tavern in Freeport, Maine, is Ready to Reopen

Shared on social media by The Harraseeket Inn & Event House, the Broad Arrow Tavern is ready to roll again.

The restaurant will be revived with its relaunch menu officially unveiled by the hotel.

The Broad Arrow will once again feature wood-fired pizzas in several varieties as well as a couple of other wood-fired specialities.

The Broad Arrow Tavern's menu will be rounded out by other delicious options like crab cakes, lobster bisque and a favorite from their "old" menu, the fish sandwich.

The Broad Arrow Tavern is set for their grand reopening next week.

The Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine, Was Sold in 2023

Building its name as a family-owned resort, the Harraseeket Inn was sold in 2023 to the Massachusetts-based Giri hotels.

Giri ruffled some feathers after taking over by changing some of the standards at the hotel, including how the restaurants sourced their food.

After some significant outcry, it appears Giri has reversed course and the return of the Broad Arrow Tavern is another indication that the hotel chain is listening.
