Jersey Mike's Subs has begun popping up in Maine over the past year. Two have already opened in Scarborough and Windham and the next to open their doors is in Brunswick at 172 Bath Road.

Jersey Mike's Subs originated in 1956 in New Jersey and was franchised in 1987. Today there are over 1700 locations throughout the United States. What makes Jersey Mike's unique is that they slice their meats and cheeses right in front of you, trim and cook roast beef right in the store and offer their signature red wine vinegar and olive oil blend to top off your sub with.

The first Jersey Mike's Subs franchise in Maine opened in 2020 at Gallery Boulevard in Scarborough near Walmart. The second opened in the spring of 2021 at the Windham Mall between Marshal's and Reny's in the former Payless Shoe Source.

Five new franchise locations are in the works including Saco, Westbrook, Topsham, Bangor, and in Brunswick. According to a listing on Indeed.com, the Bath Road, Brunswick location is hiring and lists the opening date as February 2.

If you're interested in working at Jersey Mike's Subs in Brunswick, they are hiring for all positions right now. Full and part-time positions are available from paying $15 to $18 an hour with benefits including 401k and health insurance.

Still to come are the Saco, Westbrook, Topsham and Bangor locations however no announcements yet on when they will be opening. It would seem though that if Brunswick is just about ready to go, the other four locations planned in Maine can't be that far behind.
