Co-Owner of Skowhegan Pub Resigns After Taking ‘Upskirt’ Photo of Teenage Girl
This story is horrible, but quick action was taken.
According to the Morning Sentinel, one of the owners of the family-owned restaurant The Old Mill Pub in Skowhegan resigned after a video on Facebook showed him 'upskirting' a teenage girl. In case you don't know what that is, it's when a nonconsensual photo is taken under a skirt. 43-year-old Eric Dore was caught redhanded, resigned, and has now been charged by police.
The video has been viewed almost 200,000 times with so many comments and all of them are disgusted.
According to the Bangor Daily News, he has been charged with violation of privacy.
The Old Mill Pub's Facebook page had this message,
Please understand that the dedicated staff that relies on us to support their families will strive to provide the same level of service, quality food, and community support as we always have. We will plan to resume regular operations today and ask for your understanding, and most of all, to maintain peace for all those not involved.
The Bangor Daily News reported that Eric's brother Benjamin Dore is another owner of the restaurant and told the Morning Sentinel that the video was 'absolutely a shock' to his family. That's when they all agreed that Eric needed to be removed as an owner. But Eric's wife will stay a co-owner. I can't imagine what the family of the teenage victim is going through and the family of Eric, who apparently has four daughters of his own. This is truly disgusting.
