Depression Didn’t Kill Robin Williams, According to His Wife

Celebrity deaths happen on the reg, this one hit me hard though...it hit the world hard. Over a year after Robin's death, his wife Susan is speaking out. She is saying that depression didn't kill him. She says he was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia. I wasn't familiar with this disease but it appears it's in the family of Alzheimer's. The other thing I found odd is that they supposedly didn't even know he had it until after his death. According to his wife, depression is a symptom but it's only one of about fifty. She was also told by a doctor following his death that "Robin was very aware that he was losing his mind and there was nothing he could do about it."

What if they had diagnosed him with Lewy Body Dementia before he died? Would he have been able to be treated for the condition?
