One of those convenience stores that has been more for a very long time is called Doe's in South Paris, Maine.

An unmistakable landmark along Route 26, many of those that are traveling to Bethel, Maine, and beyond have counted on Doe's convenience for years as a place that has a little bit of everything.
Doe's has been a key stop for many on a long trip serving as an agency liquor store, having a wide selection of sundries as well as a place to get good food at a reasonable price. It also has served as a longtime tagging station for hunters.
But after 16 years of becoming a community staple in the Oxford Hills area, Doe's is facing an uneasy future. Closing for good after the sale of the property where it operates.
Doe's in South Paris, Maine, Says It Was Blindsided By The Sale
In a heartfelt social media post, owner Doreen Brown says she was caught off guard when the the property where Doe's has been operating for nearly two decades was sold.
Brown vehemently thanked her employees as well as the consistent customers that strolled through Doe's over the years.
At the end of her social media post, it seems all but certain that Doe's will close permanently in the not-too-distant future.
