The journey of Mr. Drew and His Animals Too has certainly had plenty of twists and turns.

For the better part of the last two years, Mr. Drew and His Animals Too wowed visitors to his rescue and education center inside the Lewiston Mall.

The draw of exotic animal exhibits have brought tens of thousands of people through the doors of the mall but in the spring of this year, that all came to a screeching halt.

Owner Drew Desjardins shared that the mall management decided to move on from his business and that he would be taking Mr. Drew and His Animals Too to another town all together.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too Set Grand Opening Date in Poland, Maine

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too will officially open to the public on Saturday, October 18 inside their new location at 1395 Maine Street in Poland, Maine.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too is located inside the former Family Dollar location at that same address.

Without giving away many details, Drew Desjardins promised some changes to what visitors saw and experienced at their Lewiston Mall location.

He also promised some well-thought out upgrades and a few surprises too.

The grand opening of Mr. Drew and His Animals Too begins at 10am on October 18.

It's Been a Bumpy Road For Mr. Drew and His Animals Too

According to the Sun-Journal, the process of finding a new home for Mr. Drew wasn't a new one.

He was forced to move his education center out of the Pepperell Mill before landing on his feet inside the Lewiston Mall in 2023.

According to MaineBiz, Mr. Drew and His Animals Too should be calling Poland home for the foreseeable future allowing the natural science museum and rescue to focus on the care of animals and the education of the visitors that come through the doors.
