Do you think it's unfair when you're applying for a job, and your potential future employer asks how much you're making at your current or last job? If so, you'll be pretty happy about this. There's a new bill being proposed at the Maine House which, if it becomes law, would make it illegal for employers to do so. The bill, called"An Act To Prohibit an Employer from Asking a Prospective Hire about the Person's Compensation History until after a Job Offer Is Made," would do just that.

According to WMTW, an employer that violates the law would be fined at least $100, but no more than $500.

Do you think this new law should be passed? Let us know, with a comment on the Facebook post!
