Extraordinary Central Maine Teen Saves Dad’s Life
Jamie Payne a father from West Gardiner, Maine was in the hospital for 10 days because he had heart failure, according to an article by WMTW. The reason he is alive is because of his son, 17 year old Chris Payne.
The article states, after letting their dogs outside Jamie fell to the ground, collapsing on the front steps outside of their home.
Chris is a senior at Monmouth Academy, he called 911 and was told by the dispatcher how to help his father. And he did just that, he saved his life. In this intensely stressful and traumatic situation, it seems that Chris was able to keep a calm head perform life savings techniques like CPR to revive his Dad.
Jamie was then airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
