Fore Play Sports Pub Is Officially The CYY Bar-ch Madness Champion

For the last two weeks, we've asked YOU to cast your vote (and cast it again and again) for your favorite bar in Maine in our first-ever Bar-ch Madness tournament. Though we had a few speed bumps along the way, the tournament was more fun than we could have imagined. One thing we learned is that people are passionate about the places they call their home away from home.

So with that, congratulations to Fore Play Sports Pub in Portland for capturing the Bar-ch Madness championship. It was a close battle throughout the weekend, but Fore Play took a commanding lead as the polls closed Monday morning. Fore Play is one of the longest tenured bars in Portland and they saved their best for the last matchup.

Our runner-up, Chap's Saloon, was gracious in defeat. They clearly have a devoted base of people who love their establishment! If Bar-ch Madness returns next year, we have to believe Chap's Saloon will too, as they received the third most nominations of any bar in this year's tournament.
