Santa is setting up his Maine shop in Waterville transforming part of the city into Kringleville on Friday, November 29th.

The event includes the Parade of Lights presented by the Children's Discovery Museum that starts at 6 pm. The parade route is down Main Street, starting at the intersection of College and Main Street and then looping around to Front Street and ending at the Head of Falls. The parade will feature The Grinch, local dance troupes, and more!

After the parade is the official tree lighting which has been moved to Head of Falls after being at Castonguay Square in years prior according to Central Maine News. At the time of posting the city of Waterville is still in search of the iconic tree, preferably a blue spruce between 25 and 30 feet. If you have one you can call Waterville Parks & Recreation at 680-4742. The tree will be lit by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

If you would like to meet the big guy in red yourself but can't make it to the parade and lighting, no worries! The jolly couple will be set up at Kringleville at Castonguay Square during the weekends leading up to Christmas from 1-4 and they'll even be giving free storybooks thanks to the elves at the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.
