The Oxford Hills is in the midst of a restaurant resurgence as yet another new place to eat and drink has been announced for the former Paris Farmers Union bulding.

According to the Advertiser Democrat, '21 Taps Wood-Fired Pizza' will occupy the building that was the former home of the Paris Farmers Union retail store before it moved into the former Hancock Lumber building on Main Street. Jennifer and David Siegler of Norway got approval from the to Paris Board of Selectmen to begin renovating the building with plans to have a wood-fired pizza restaurant open in the spring of 2018 with 21 beers on tap, hence the clever name.

The Paris Farmers Union has 10 retail stores in New England, the first of which opened on this site in South Paris in 1919. The property has been vacant for 10 years.

21 Taps Wood-Fired Pizza will join three other restaurants to open recently in Norway-South Paris. Norway Brewing Company opened in May of 2016 at 237 Main Street in Norway. X Vault Pub & Provisions opened in Market Square in South Paris in the old Maine Savings Bank building in January and 290 Maine Street opened at...uh...290 Main Street in Norway in June.
