
Frontier Airlines is Departing From the Portland, Maine, Jetport
The cost to fly in or out of the jetport in Portland, Maine, is likely to get more expensive.
According to WGME, Frontier Airlines has announced that they are departing for good from the Portland International Jetport.
Frontier plans to operate at the Portland Jetport for another week or so before closing down operations.
Frontier No Longer Has Options to Fly Out of Portland, Maine
If you attempt to book a flight out of Portland, Maine, on the Frontier website or through the Frontier app, you will not be able to pick a destination if your departure is from Portland, Maine.
The reasons given for Frontier's departure from Portland, Maine, were murky. According to WGME, Frontier Airlines said demand for flights in the city and region were down. Additionally, the seasonal aspect to flights in and out of Portland was a drawback.

For travelers, the news will be disappointing. Frontier offered direct flights to some of the most popular destinations for Mainers. That includes Orlando and other spots in Florida.
The Portland Jetport has already removed Frontier as a listed airline on their website. The Portland Jetport will continue to have inbound and outbound flights from the following carriers:
- Delta Airlines
- American Airlines
- Breeze Airways
- Southwest Airlines
- JetBlue
- United Airlines
- Sun Country Airlines
