Harpoon Is Hopping On The Spiked Seltzer Train With Polar Experts
If you're a fan of the appearance of hard seltzer to the alcohol industry but are also loyal to the locals, I've got some good news for you.
Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA and Polar Beverages in Worcester are partnering on a new line of hard seltzers this summer, according to Brewbound.
Harpoon CEO Dan Kenary told Brewbound that there will be four flavors of “Arctic Summer” hitting stores in late April: Ruby Red Grapefruit, Pineapple Pomelo, Raspberry Lime and Black Cherry.
Kenary said that Harpoon has always maintained its focus on beer, but he couldn't ignore the buzz on the street (and in his home) about hard seltzer.
“We are beer people to our bones,” he said. “But we started paying closer attention ... when all of a sudden our kids and friends were talking about hard seltzer and bringing it to parties.”
Even better, these guys are both local heroes, giving you all the more reason to try out their lovechild while supporting New England brands!
