Who’s to say we can’t bang our heads to a little heavy metal every now and again? And when it comes to heavy metal, there are no bigger -- or better -- bands than the 'Big Four': Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

It only makes sense, then, that these bands receive the biggest honor of all time, that of having their songs transformed into insanely catchy 8-bit tunes, right? Reminiscent of the good ol' Nintendo days, the video above -- covering Metallica’s ‘One,' Slayer’s ‘Raining Blood,' Megadeth’s ‘Sweating Bullets’ and Anthrax’s ‘Madhouse' -- is one of the best things we've seen in a long, long time.

It wasn't long ago that some of our favorite tracks from the '90s received the 8-bit treatment from the fine folks at Filthy Frackers, and now they've partnered with our good friends at Loudwire for the 'Big Four' 8-bit revolution. And we have to say ... we dig it.
