Help Us Help Texas in Monument Square on Fri. Sept. 1 – 7AM to 1PM
Want to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, but unsure how? Here is your chance to make a difference -- a big difference.
From 7AM to 1PM in Portland's Monument Square, look for the 26-foot Penske truck, provided by Townsquare Media and Aura. We will be collecting donated goods and Lewiston's Jeremy Henry will be driving the truck to Texas later in the day.
Henry grew up in Orange, Texas. His hometown received over 42” of rain:
"Most of my family and friends have lost everything and the people of Orange are hurting and desperate. You've seen the news and it is worse than you think!"
Let’s join together and help. Please bring any of the following items to Monument Square to be driven back to Orange, TX.
- non-perishable food items
- clothing of any kind (especially new underwear)
- paper goods (plates, plastic forks, spoons, paper towels, toilet paper)
- batteries (any kind)
- flashlights
- bleach
- trash bags
- shampoo, bodywash/soap
- toothpaste, toothbrushes
- bottled water
- first-aid kits
- towels
- blankets
