Highroller Lobster Company in Portland, Maine, Plans Expansion

Finding your footing and creating a loyal following for any restaurant in Portland, Maine, can be a tremendous challenge.

The small city boasts a large number of eateries, some of which have years of devoted visitors coming back for more.

Unable to find that foothold, it was announced on social media that Low Stakes Lodge, which was formerly Timber, would be closing permanently.

But the result of that closure will mean an expansion for one of the most popular restaurants in the city.

Highroller Lobster Company Plans to Absorb Low Stakes Lodge For Larger Footprint

According to Portland Old Port, Low Stakes Lodge closing was viewed as an opportunity by Highroller Lobster Company.

Highroller plans to take over the entire space left behind by Low Stakes Lodge to expand their restaurant and meet the increased demand they've seen in the past couple of years.

If you're a fan of Low Stakes Lodge, you'll still have a few more weeks to visit them for some of their favorites.

Highroller Lobster Company's Expanded Restaurant Will Open Sometime Next Year

Inside of the current Highroller Lobster Company, the design and aesthetic is certainly unique.

After Low Stakes Lodge bids farewell, it will take several months to properly fit the space to match the current Highroller vibe.

A spring opening is expected for the expansion. Highroller Lobster Company will stay open while the renovation work is ongoing.
