
Holy Donut Shutting Down Brunswick, Maine, Location Permanently
The Holy Donut footprint across Maine is about to get a little bit smaller.
The potato-donut business that started in 2011 and turned into a destination spot for those visiting Maine has decided to permanently close another one of their standalone locations.
This time, it's the Brunswick, Maine, shop.
That Brunswick, Maine, Holy donut will continue operations until its final day on Sunday, August 23.
Brunswick, Maine, Holy Donut Location Opened Only Two Years Ago
According to MaineBiz, the Holy Donut opened their Brunswick, Maine, location a little over two years ago on May 17 of 2024.

In their short social media post, Holy Donut expressed that it was a difficult decision to close down their Brunswick shop but offering little details as to why the decision was made specifically.
This isn't the first time Holy Donut has pulled the plug on one of their standalone shops. According to the Portland Press Herald, Holy Donut closed their Auburn, Maine, location after only one year in business back in 2022.
Holy Donut Will Keep Their Three Remaining Donut Shops in Maine Going
Despite the surprising closure of their Brunswick, Maine, location, Holy Donut has no plans to cease operations at any of their three remaining locations.
Their Scarborough, Maine, location along Route 1 continues to see heavy traffic from curious tourists to the Old Orchard Beach area.
Holy Donut's two Portland, Maine, shops also serve a beacon for locals and curious tourists. Their Commercial Street shop continues to pack people in for the morning rush. T
heir original location at 194 Park Ave also has remained busy in peak tourism season.
