New Indian Restaurant Opening Near Walmart in Scarborough, Maine

It appears that people throughout southern Maine have acquired a taste for quality Indian food.

Several Indian food restaurants have opened across Southern Maine in just the last couple of years.

That includes Bombay Bistro in Westbrook, Maine, which took over the former Frog & Turtle space.

Aromas of India also opened inside the Maine Mall food court in South Portland in the longtime spot that was home to Arby's.

Soon there will be another new Indian restaurant in Scarborough, Maine, adjacent to the Super Walmart on Gallery Boulevard.

Coastal Curry Plans Grand Opening in Scarborough, Maine

According to Portland Food Map, Coastal Curry is tentatively scheduled for their grand opening at 300 Gallery Boulevard on Saturday, August 15.

Coastal Curry will be located in the space that was formerly home to Clean Eatz.

Coastal Curry will put their focus on South Indian cuisine including the popular Dosa, which is a classic South Indian crepe.

Coastal Curry plans to be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

Walmart Continues to Make Improvements to Stores Across Maine

While the Scarborough, Maine, Walmart Supercenter isn't undergoing substantial changes, some stores in the state are.

Walmart locations in Biddeford, Falmouth and Auburn have all been undergoing significant renovations to update the customer experience.

Some of those renovations including changing the exterior facade, improving the parking lots, wider aisles as well as new brands being featured.

Walmart also continues to enhance the services offered at every major Walmart location, including more efficient curbside pickup and delivery as well as improved pharmacy care.
