A Sneak Peek at the 4th of July Weather Forecast for Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts
There is no doubt that summer really snuck up on us.
While last winter was fairly mild, this spring was like being slapped with a wet facecloth - cold, wet, and annoying. Even though we were fortunate to have a few really nice days in the middle of each week, every weekend was cold and rainy.
The good news is that we are finally getting the summer weather we deserve. With the exception of the heatwave that we got earlier this week, we have been enjoying sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s or lower 80s.
It looks like that trend will, for the most part, continue through the Independence Day holiday.
What Will the Weather be Like on the 4th of July?
According to Weather.com, Central Maine (Augusta, Waterville, Gardiner, Winthrop) will see beautiful weather for the majority of Independence Day week. We can expect partly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s from Monday, June 30th through Friday, July 4th.
In Southern Maine, the week will start off with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, but improve as the week goes on. By Friday, July 4th, it will be partly sunny with highs in the lower 80s. Perfect parade, BBQ, and fireworks weather!
In the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the 4th of July will be mostly sunny with a high of 81 degrees.
In Boston, the week will start off with a chance of showers or thunderstorms, but improve as the week goes on. On July 4th, it will be mostly sunny with a high in the mid 80s.
Keep in mind that we are still a week away from the holiday, so these forecasts could change. Actually, they could change dramatically.
