One of those winter road works projects will force the temporary closure of a portion of the I-95.

I-95 Southbound Near Pittsfield Closed Monday January 6, 2025

According to an article on the WABI website, a section of I-95 southbound, near Pittsfield, will be closed from about 7 p.m. on Monday (January 6th) until about 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

The article explains that the work is part of a project to replace interstate bridge decks on the bridges that carry the interstate over the Sebasticook River and Route 152.

According to the Maine Department of Transportation website, the organization is currently working on 15 projects spread across the state.

These projects include the Augusta Western Ave. Bridge ReplacementFreeport Bridge ProjectWaterville Ticonic Bridge Project, and Southport Swing Bridge Rehabilitation.
