Comedian Matt Rife Reschedules Highly Anticipated Maine Show
The pandemic was definitely a strange time.
No, we're not talking about the spread of the virus, the vaccine controversies, or any of that.
We're talking about what a strange time it was culturally.
Because many of our favorite in-person activities were either cancelled or significantly modified, we all took up different hobbies. How many people do you know that started gardening, baking fresh bread, or brewing beer during 2020?
Additionally, due to excessive scrolling in 2020 and 2021, dozens of new entertainers were discovered by the masses.
One of these was Matt Rife. The comedian, who has become a cultural phenomena, was all over our TikTok feeds and Reels.
Who is Matt Rife?
Born and raised in Ohio, he has been performing since he was 14-years-old.
It might be a surprise to many that he was a national celebrity before the pandemic.
He was a cast member on MTV's Wild 'N Out and hosted a short-lived reboot of MTV's TRL. In addition to his time on MTV, he released several self-produced comedy specials. These included Only Fans (2021), Matthew Steven Rife (2023) and Walking Red Flag (2023).
Of course, he really rose to fame when people started to see his videos on social media during the pandemic.
Since he started touring, he has been consistently selling out venues across the country.
Matt Rife's Maine Show
In late 2024, we got word that Rife was going to be performing at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor in July of 2025.
Recently, we got word that the show has been rescheduled. Unfortunately, it is not just a few days or weeks after the original date. Nope, the new date for the show is August, 6th, 2026!
