Even though most of us are still enjoying the last few weeks of summer weather, there are some people who are already in "fall mode".  And, believe it or not, there are some people who are already thinking about winter and the holiday season.

If you are one of those people who just can't wait to throw on a winter coat and boots so you can run around in the snow, you are going to be excited by a recent announcement from the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

The popular Boothbay, Maine attraction has announced the dates for their upcoming 2026 Gardens Aglow.

What is Gardens Aglow?

Gardens Aglow is the annual holiday light display at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, transforming the gardens into a dazzling winter wonderland with hundreds of thousands of lights.  Visitors can walk along illuminated paths and enjoy colorful displays, festive decorations, and plenty of opportunities for holiday photos.  It has become one of Maine’s most popular holiday traditions, bringing a little extra sparkle to the dark days of winter.

A Facebook post from the gardens explains this year's theme:

Gathered in Maine, invites guests on a glowing journey of new lighted displays through the seasonal traditions, landscapes, and natural connections that bring us together. Along the way, discover everything from maple tapping and mushroom foraging to the industrious activities of seed-dispersing ants, pollinators, and coastal ways of life.

What Are the Dates For Gardens Aglow in 2026?

The attraction will be open most Thursday through Sundays from November 14th through January 2nd, 2027.

For specific dates, check out the calendar HERE.

Tickets go on sale at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 8th.  However, if you are a member of the gardens, you can get your tickets starting September 1st.
