We are fortunate to live in a state that has so many amazing law enforcement agencies.

These agencies employ some of the most caring first responders in the business.  They do their best to help those in need and to solve crimes.  However, in some cases, these cases are not solved immediately.

Stefanie Damren, a 14-year-old from New Sweden, has been missing since September 2024.

Despite the fact that it has been seven months since she was last seen, law enforcement has not given up on finding her.

According to a recent post from the Maine State Police, they will soon be conducting another intensive search for the missing teen.

The latest search, which will take place between May 2nd and May 4th,  will be conducted by members of the Maine State Police, Maine Warden Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and numerous volunteers from search and rescue organizations.  The post explained that the search will occur in the New Sweden area.

The post goes on to explain:

The timing of the searches reflects improved weather conditions and coordination of available resources. The public should expect to see a large law enforcement presence in several areas, including searches on foot, by vehicle, and with the use of drones. These are routine, coordinated efforts, and there is no danger to the public.

It is important to remember that there is still a $15,000 reward for information that leads to her safe return or the prosecution of those who may have had something to do with her disappearance.
