Wanted Maine Man is Considered ‘Armed & Dangerous’
According to a post on the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, deputies are looking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with various crimes, including Domestic Violence Assault.
The post explains that Jacob McGurn was last seen on foot in the town of Gilead.
He is wanted for Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, Terrorizing, Domestic Violence Assault, Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, and Driving to Endanger.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous. Because of this, he should not be approached. Instead, you can phone in your tips anonymously by calling 207.743.9554, option ‘0’.
According to WGME, 28-year-old McGurn was last seen at about 4 a.m. on Thursday. That’s when he reportedly confronted a man on Gilead Road in Gilead. McGurn reportedly used a gun to fire several shots at the man before fleeing the scene.
The article goes on to say that McGurn was also reportedly involved in a confrontation at a home in Bethel.
