What is going on with The Sun Journal?
The Sun Journal is now mixing things up and not everyone is happy about it.
Apparently, starting March 31st, according to a letter sent to subscribers, the daily printed newspaper will be mailed, yes. It will be sent out through the US Postal Service.
But get this.. Saturday’s paper? Gone!
It will no longer be sent out saying, "We will no longer have a printed newspaper on Saturday" as per a letter sent to subscribers.
That means if you’re waiting for Tuesday’s news, you may be reading about it Wednesday when your friendly mail person finally arrives with it.

One resident really hit the nail on the head saying online,
“Everyone that has the internet is to blame for the death of print media… that includes me"
Why is this? Well, because we are moving even more fast into the digital world folks.
For those of us who have already made the switch to digital this is just another step to the inevitable future of the newspaper business.
So many of us miss the days of waking up, grabbing the paper, drinking our coffee, and ending up with ink-stained fingers. It's a little messy but also a moment of pure bliss.

One commentor online said,
"I am disappointed not to get our physical paper until the mail comes. BUT I understand what they are doing. With fewer and fewer subscribers, they can’t support the business as it was. Please note that they are not firing reporters. I think we are fortunate in our community to have any local news reporting at all. Many communities in the country do not."
And for early risers, the ePaper will be available online daily at 4:00am.
