Litchfield Fair Returns This Weekend With Three Days of Fun

The Litchfield Fair is back this weekend, bringing three full days of rides, animals, pulling events, live entertainment and old-fashioned agricultural fair fun to Central Maine.

The 2026 fair runs Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13 at the Litchfield Fairgrounds on Plains Road. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 12 to 17 and seniors 65 and older, while kids under 12 get in free. Seniors also receive free admission on Friday, and parking is always free.

Friday gets underway with livestock exhibits, steer pulling, pig racing, butter-making demonstrations and live music. The midway opens at 3 p.m., followed by a pig scramble and the always-entertaining Redneck Truck Pull at 7 p.m.

Saturday is packed with family activities, including a youth horse show, draft horse pulling, the baby show, Princess and Spiderman appearances, wildlife demonstrations, barrel racing and the fair’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Family Day. The fair is also hosting its first-ever Cornhole Classic Saturday afternoon.

Sunday wraps things up with Farmers Scoot & Twitch, youth livestock shows, a draft horse show, kiddie tractor pulling, mutton bustin’, live music and a demolition derby beginning at 10 a.m.

Ride bracelets are $25, with designated wristband sessions each day. The fair also features Wheeler’s Wee Farmers, an interactive agricultural learning center designed to teach kids where food comes from and what goes into life on a farm.
