If the snow we got on Thanksgiving left you itching for more, worry not because more is expected to be on the way.

I knew that we were going to get some snow this week, but I didn't realize (until this morning) that we were predicted to get a plowable amount.

And, while we're on that topic, what do people consider a plowable amount? For me, I consider it to be more than 3-4 inches of total snowfall.

As I was snooping around the WGME website, I saw a weather graphic that really caught my eye. According to Christian Bridges, Maine is going to get hit with some snow midweek.

As far as the timing goes, this system will move into Maine throughout the evening on Wednesday and will carry through into the morning hours of Thursday.

Bridges went on to explain that the precipitation will begin as light and scattered, though after midnight the storm will pick up in intensity with snow becoming heavy at times through the duration of the overnight.

When the storm moves out on Thursday, much of Maine will be left with a decent amount of the white stuff, WGME said.

The news station reported that the coast of Maine will pick up about 2 inches while more interior sections can expect to see anywhere from 3-9 inches depending on where in Maine you are.

Most of central Maine will get about 4 inches in total. After the storm, the air will get super-cold with overnight wind chills dipping into the negatives in some regions of the Pine Tree State.
