A Place for Everyone: Maine’s Newest Restaurant, My Buddy’s Place
I already love this new spot, and here's why.
My Buddy’s Place is Downtown Bucksport's newest restaurant, and has officially opened its doors to the public, according to WABI. Now, the staff invite you to experience Maine dining in the freshest way!
They opened a month ago, and have since become a standout stop in the local community.
The name of the restaurant reflects the owner Dustin's habit of calling nearly everyone "buddy."
As per Bangor Daily News, Dustin wants you to feel warm and welcome with a happy atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to enjoy great meals and meaningful connections.
The delicious menu offers a variety of Maine-made favorites with a Sicilian twist.
Dustin takes pride in preparing fresh pasta by hand, and rolls and cuts the pieces every evening. The menu also offers homemade bread, red snapper dishes, and chicken sliders.
The location used to be the former Friars Brewhouse and Tap Room at 84 Main Street.
Seeing beyond the restaurant, Dustin plans to work with local organizations like the animal shelter, with ideas like “Pints for Pups” to help raise funds for a new facility. How cute is that? Dustin is not just an owner, but is also excited to become a real part of the community.
As per the article, he is also excited to engage with the town’s younger residents by offering hot chocolate and cookies.
This place is absolutely stellar, and the passion behind it will hopefully help its success for years to come. Visit My Buddy's Place on Instagram today!
