When I was younger, there were several steadfast goodies I would always find in my Easter basket. This included, a big white chocolate bunny, Cadbury eggs, an array of jelly beans, and the coveted PEEPS.

I've never been a fan of these sugary marshmallow birds, and I suspect I'm not alone in feeling that way.

It seems like Peeps are pulling out all the stops to make their product more likable, maybe in response to a general lack of enthusiasm for their traditional offerings. They were created back in 1953, according to Finance Buzz.

Last night, I went to my local Auburn Walmart to begin my Easter festivity shopping, and my jaw hit the floor when I turned down the Easter aisle (or should I call it the "Peep aisle").

I am not kidding you when I say that I was utterly stunned when I came across the endless array of Peeps items busting out the shelves.

I wonder how the sales are going? According to Finance Buzz,

Peeps are a divisive candy — people either love them or can't stand them.

When people are asked how much they like Peeps on a scale from one to 10, only a quarter of them give a perfect score of "10" out of 10.

From classic marshmallow chicks to bunnies, stuffed animals, plushies, slippers, and beyond, there's no shortage of Peeps-themed things to choose from.

When I was younger, it was just three different flavors of peeps, and that's it. Now, they have cotton candy, Rice Krispies treats, and more.

I couldn't believe my eyes at the sheer variety of Peeps lining the shelves.

It's safe to say that Peeps has taken over our Auburn Walmart, bringing Easter up to a whole new level!
