Gluten-Free Beer, Lobster Roll Flights, and Two Portland, Maine Spots I Can’t Stop Going Back To
Two Portland Spots I Absolutely Adore
Yesterday, I headed over to Maine Lash and Brow in Portland, and since I was already in the area, I knew I had to make the extra trip to two of my absolute favorite spots.
Orange Bike Brewing
First up: Orange Bike Brewing. If you know me, you know I’m gluten-free and sober, so the fact that they have a gluten-free, non-alcoholic IPA on tap is basically my favorite thing ever.
I grabbed a crisp, cold beer, sat out on their amazing patio, and just hung out for a while. The vibe there is so good, the beer is absolutely delicious, and Tom, the owner, is such a cool guy. Every time I bring my sister, she’s obsessed with their guava sour!

Bite Into Maine
Obviously, I couldn’t head home without making a pit stop at Bite Into Maine for a lobster roll flight. I went with the Maine, Connecticut, and Picnic styles, all on delicious gluten-free buns.
The Maine is classic with mayo and chives, while the Connecticut is served warm with butter. But my favorite? Picnic style, with coleslaw, butter, and celery salt. SO GOOD.
They also offer Chipotle, Curry, and Wasabi styles, so there’s plenty to try. And honestly, listening to tourists debate whether they want butter or mayo on their lobster roll always makes me smile. Meanwhile, we’re over here casually living with lobster in our lives all the time.
