Want to Make a Difference? Here’s How You Can Save These Adorable Maine Pets
Sometimes, we all crave a really good cuddle, but not necessarily with another human being.
It’s that “I need to snuggle, but with an animal” type of vibe.
There’s something about the softness of fur, the sound of purring, and those big, beautiful puppy eyes staring right up at you that hits differently.

It’s one of those moments you didn’t realize you needed, until it’s actually happening.
Furthermore, if you’ve also always wanted to be a hero, you can and we have your moment.
What are you talking about?
According to WABI, Bangor Humane Society is in urgent need of your help. They are currently in search of foster homes for adult dogs, puppies, and kittens.
These incredible animals need a lot of tender love and care and you could be the one to give that to them. They’ll even cover the vet visits and give you supplies, as per the article.
What do you have to do to become a foster parent?
It’s pretty simple. As per the article, simply give these animals a warm home and your complete 100 % undivided attention, love, and care. Yes, they’re asking for all the cuddles.
Foster Care Coordinator, Gabby Hubbell says,
“Fostering saves lives. By fostering an animal, it opens up kennel space for another animal who really needs it, and that way we can have more animals in and more animals out and save more lives,”
Now, wait a minute because before you say, “I’m soo busy” hear me out. This is a process that is easy, and to become a foster parent only takes a couple of weeks.

When you are able to help save an animal's life, a couple weeks is no biggy, right?
The earlier you apply, the faster the folks at Bangor Humane Society will be able to match you up with your fur baby.
Trust me when I say, you want to be the first in line for this because the more fosters there are, the more the shelter can help.
If you have a space in your heart and a spot in your home ready and waiting for a dog or cat, please consider joining the Bangor Humane Society Saturday, March 15th for their Foster Care Open House. It’s from 1:00pm-3:00pm and space is limited.
Make sure to RSVP by Saturday March 8th at GabbyG@bangorhumane.org.
