You know how Mainers are. If there's a map of the state floating around online, someone is going to notice their hometown is missing.

That's exactly what happened to Portland artist Abby Clark, better known as @abbyclarkcreative, after she shared her beautifully illustrated Maine map on Instagram.

The Maine Map That Had Everyone Talking

The map was already gorgeous, but the comments started pointing out some missing towns, townships and islands.

And honestly?  Abby did something that made me love her work even more.

She went back, listened, and updated the entire map.

With help from MaineDOT, she created a brand-new version that now includes all of Maine's towns, townships and islands, proving that sometimes the internet can actually help make something even better.

Abby is a Portland-based graphic artist and illustrator who launched her small business in late 2023 after finally turning years of creative ideas into reality.

Her talent is obvious, but what really stands out is her willingness to listen, she took feedback on her original Maine map and created an updated version.

That's the kind of creative spirit that's easy to support.
